Tanning and Hangovers

On tuesday I went to my friend chelsea's house with sara and we all tanned on chels' balcony.... so nice. Goofing around, blasting music through speakers from sara's ipod and dancing, eating jello-like fruity things. too much fun.
then we decided to go to the movies...... fun! saw lots of people we know. We went to go see THE HANGOVER! that movie is EPIC!!!!!
sooooo funny. we almost died laughing. i'd seen it on the computer but it was sooo much funnier in theaters with friends. more fun to watch. after the movie i ran into emil and david which was fun tooo. im like "david you look so pretty" i cant call him handsome or hot. doesnt work. hez hot. but such a prettyboy gino guy. cant help it

fun day. my tan is incomplete but getting there. a few more days at chels's house and i'll be fabulousa! (cuz im fabulous that is my simple request) ;)

I've been out sooo much so far this summer though. This week I've been home for dinner.... twice. I just love going out with friends and seeing them as much as possible. ITS SUMMER!
let loose before i crack down in september. my goal next year is an 85+ average in school next year. every class including the dreaded.... MATH!!! ACK!

im gonna need a tutor.

grade 11... it'll be pretty awesome, i hope. only 2 years til i graduate!!! is that weird to think about or what?

Canada Day

Had a super nice Canada Day... starting at 5 pm.

The rest of the day was so boring, i should've made other plans through the day but I was lazy. I wasn't too pleased when G was late coming to pick me up and hadn't called, but he was forgiven when he told me what happened. Parents making him work and clean at one of their houses later than expected and forgot his phone at home. All good. He was very apologetic.

We went to the beach, walked along the boardwalk, watched the sun go down, got some food and watched A COUPLE fireworks. Had to leave the beach just as people started lighting them though since I had to be home at 10:30. How mean is that? No one starts til 10 AND it takes half an hour to get home. Oh well. It'll be later next year I hope. It was sooooooo nice though.

Boy

May 5 was my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend G, we went for dinner and went out to a movie which was tons of fun but I have say it was a pretty fun year.
He makes my day, always makes me smile and just makes me so happy! I can't imagine not having him in my life, just feels too right being with him.
Especially after how I got treated with the other guys. I'm treated like a princess, we tell eachother everything and I'm so lucky. We talk all the time, and go out a bit. He's working this summer everyday and then going to Florida for 3 weeks so that SUCKS for me but I'll get over it. I trust him completely so it'll be fine, I know him too well and he won't do anything while he's gone.
It's been almost 14 months it's been a long time and it doesn't feel like it at all. I remember the beginning as if no time has passed, I remember everything with us.

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn

The little girl in this movie broke my heart! I cried like a baby in this movie. That kid should've won an oscar or at least some other kind of acting award. A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, its a hard one to put your finger on for what it's about. You just have to watch it. It was so good, just wonderfully sweet. This one is at least a 9.5 out of 10. I don't know what to say about this movie. But you have to watch it.

Bratz

LOVE THE OUTFITS!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh. 4 best friends go to high school and get torn apart by cliques. So sad but then they realize what happened and fix things and move to get rid of the crazy cliques within their high school. Proving that friendship always wins in the end and there is nothing more important than friendship. It was not great but I love it! Feel good movie. And did I mention the outfits??? BFF's. I would totally watch this with my best friends. I would give this one a 6.5 out of 10.

Roman Holiday

Roman Holiday features Audrey Hepburn and it is a lovely film. There was something very romantic about he whole movie, the black and white, the respect and the way people look at eachother, dance and act around eachother. Romance actually meant something back then. A princess escapes her castle to have a normal fun day and meets a man who takes her around Rome. It was a wonderful movie, it was witty and funny and sweet. I would like to own this movie one day. Such a great film. 9 out of 10. Hepburn is wonderful.

Across the Universe

Strawberry fields forever. This movie takes place during the second world war in a time of tension and heartache. A band of people find eachother and help eachother out. Brought together by an apartment and the need to DO SOMETHING! It was good. Some parts of the movie were just.... weird and creepy but it was still good to watch. A musical using only music from The Beatles. The soundtrack is great and the cast sang it well. I've seen it twice. It's not amazing but it's worth watching. 7.5 out of 10.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic was based on the awesome series by Sophie Kinsella. It was a fun day out movie. Nothing overly special and quite different from the books but fun to watch no less. I would have preferred it stayed truer to the book like being in the right country for one. The guy was well cast. =) The movie was overall well cast but I just think that it could have been better done. This movie probably would have done better to come out when there isn't a recession going on but that's just a minor detail. It was enjoyable. Another rom-com (romantic comedy) and it was fun to go with my friend. I would watch it again and probably buy it. It was probably an 8 out of 10 in my books. I loved so many of the outfits in this movie!

He's Just Not That Into You

This movie had an awesome superstar cast which did not disappoint me. It's still in theatres. It was so funny, sexy, fun and a good date movie. Romantic comedy. It's just.... awesome. I would watch this movie again and again. Well worth it! My boyfriend thought it was funny but boring. But oh well too bad for him, teenage guys don't have that great of taste in movies anyway. Well most don't. It was "educational" and there were little parts that explained about stuff in relationships in adulthood. Fantastic!!! Can't wait to buy it on DVD! 9 out of 10!

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging

Ok this movie was pretty darn funny. I read the first 5 books so it was all good fun to watch. This account of Georgia Nicholson's life is really funny. I was mighty bummed to find out it wasn't being released in North America so when it popped up on youtube (shhhhh!) I was happy that I could actually see this movie. It's goofy, fun and perfect movie to watch with your girls. I loved it! The boys were so fit oh my god. The brothers, oh my *drool*. There really wasn't a great storyline but it was just so good. I loved this movie and would rate it for sure. Solid 8 out of 10!

Be Kind Rewind

Brilliant! Be Kind Rewind was about a guy who accidentally erases all the tapes in a movie rental store and he and his friend try to make them all again on the cheap before customers start to complain. It was fantastic. Genious! Things like King Kong, Ghostbusters, Rush Hour 2 and Driving Miss Daisy made appearances in this movie. Many more too. At first when you start watching this movie you're like oh god, this will be so lame. Oh contrare. This is a surprising little gem of a movie. It wasn't hyped much in theatres but I remembered seeing an ad once so I watched it. Fantastic. The ideas were fun and clever and... hilarious. Jack Black. He did awesome in this. Solid 9 out of 10.

Fool's Gold

Ok. What do I say about this? Umm this movie was a colossal waste of time. There was a thin plot, it wasn't exciting, it also dragged on far too long. We all knew how it would end from the beginning of the movie. Wasn't even worth the hour and a half. Glad I didn't watch it in theatres. It was cheesey in a crap way. What a waste, this did help any of the actors' careers because it was all crap. This is the kind of movie that people would NOT hire you from because it brought out the worst acting I have seen from these actors. Very disappointing. 4 out of 10.

Transformers

Transformers robots in disguise!!! Ok this movie would be awesome! For a teenage boy which is who it was meant for. As a teenage girl it was good for awhile but it was just too long. It could have been considerably shorter because scenes were dragged out like crazy but it wasn't awful. The cars and robots were really cool!!! Shia Labeouf was pretty awesome in this movie. This movie really makes me hate people in the government, it's just so, annoying. They think they know everything about everything so when people try to help them they get shut down right away because no one else could POSSIBLY know anything. Oh well. Guys would love the main girl in the movie. I'm jealous, she is drop dead gorgeous even if she does dress like a skank for a lot of the movie. It was not as exciting as I had hoped it would be. I remember when I went to Lion's Head 2 summers ago I met these guys, brothers who were like Oh my god that movie was awesome, it was the best. Note to self, Matt and Jason have no idea what they're talking about. *SIGH* oh well I watched it and bashed it. I'd give it like a 6 out of 10.

I have decided Facebook is evil. It eats up all of my computer time practically. Let's see what is new and or untold. Friday Night Lights was indeed... brilliant!!! It was so much fun and me and my friends looked FABULOUS!!! Haha.

Today was my 7 months with my boyfriend. =) hehe. <3

I've been studying a lot harder lately with math because... I SUCK AT IT!!!

Hmmmm. What else!? Cross country and basketball ended near the end of October so now I'm between seasons since I can't join track until my grades are up. =( practical but it sucks.

I kind of love my school and most of the people in it. Through teams and friends of friends I know people from every clique which works in my favour from time to time.

Halloween I did, in fact, see my kit-kat, cheezy liesey and j-man. Twas a fun time!! DDR WAS SOOOOO FUN!! I WANT IT FOR X-MAS!!! MUAHAHAHA!!! I get to see my homies kit-kat, cheezy liesey and j-man around christmas too! WOOT!! I'm excited. Only a few more weeks. =)

Still knitting up a storm but I'm not done that sweater... still. *sigh*

I Must Be Crazy

I have just started grade 10 and not only do I have an UBER HEAVY course load I decided to throw 2 sports teams into the mix. I'm doing Cross Country and Basketball. In Cross Country I have to run 4km which is all fine and good but then after school I play basketball. I must be crazy to try and do this plus work 1 weekend day/night and volunteer my usual Sunday.

I went to the KW Fair working for Four Seasons Knitting, it was great! I had all kinds of fun but was amused when people would come up to me and say "shouldn't you be at the Purl booth?"

Ho hum what else is new? FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is coming up again!!! YAY!!! I'm so excited for October 10. It will be BRILLIANT! As always.

Ummm. Still with the same guy. =)

I want to make a documentary about knitting in particular. Any ideas for it at all?

Only 2 Months Later :S

OOPS!!! I totally forgot about my blog lol that sucks. This summer has been... interesting I suppose. I got grounded for the first 2 weeks which SUCKED!!! But I've been working since the end of exams. It was all fine and good until... THE FLOOD. *scary music* Sewer backup into the basement of the yarn shop The Purple Purl which is where I work. Not good just thank god it was knit night. They were trying to deal with it downstairs but there was already a tonne of water down there so I just yelled out what was going and that we needed help and everyone got up to help. Amazing help and support. It got to be about a foot deep down there and all the business stuff and yarn was saved all that was lost was... furniture :( oh well. Things at the shop are getting back in order and its good. Erm what else, tonight I'm going out with a bunch of people to Cafe Demetries on the Danforth for dessert and stuff.

btw on the monday after brockville G asked me out and we've been together ever since. It's too bad he's leaving for florida for 3 weeks though :( what can you do? lol not a whole lot but i'm seeing him tomorrow the day before he leaves so that will be good. :)

lately i've only really been on facebook and ravelry lol that would be why im neglecting my blog but i will write more often. ive been doing a lot of knitting too. working on a cabled cardigan which I love so far.
